Client & Family Centred Care

Client and Family Centred care guides our approach to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care. We acknowledge and embrace the importance of the Client and their family’s involvement in the process of decision making and planning for care.

The core values of Client and Family Centred Care are:

  • Participation: Clients and family are encouraged and supported to participate in planning and decision making at a level they choose

  • Collaboration: Clients and family are encouraged to collaborate on quality care improvements through review processes and care plan revision

  • Dignity & Respect: Client and family values, beliefs, and culture are integrated into the planning and delivery of care. Client and family perspectives and choices are listened to and respected

  • Information Sharing: We share complete and accurate information with Clients and families that enable informed decision making and planning

24 Hour Care

Around the clock assistance

We offer a personal and dependable service by providing a  team of quality and compatible Carers  that  allows  you  to remain in your own home. We are a realistic alternative to residential care.

This level of support means that you remain at home and retain your precious mementos and memories. You stay settled and secure and maintain control over your environment, continue to enjoy your church or community activities and your gardens and continue to make your own choices and decisions. You decide when to sleep, what to eat and when you eat, when to shower and what to wear. You continue to have the freedom to go out whenever you want.

This is truly one on one care. You are our focus and our support is tailored to meet your specific needs. With your permission, we liaise with family, your GP, and allied health members to ensure you are getting the best support possible.

Respite Care

Time out for primary or family Carers

We understand how vital it is for  family members to have time out to do the things that are important to them such as going to the hairdresser, movies, library, having coffee with friends, playing bridge or even to take a holiday.

We understand that it is difficult for you to leave your loved one to achieve this.

Our Carers are warm, kind, trustworthy and skilled.  They are experienced in providing one on one companionship and will care for your loved one as you do. You can have a well-earned, worry free break, confident that we care as much as you do.

Respite care can be provided at home or involve regular scheduled sessions that take your loved one on an outing to somewhere different and interesting giving you some quiet time and space.

We provide you with the time and space to do the things you enjoy.

Dementia Care & Support

We have a passion for dementia care. Our support and services are trusted and respected amongst health professionals

2 out of 3  New Zealanders are affected or know someone who is affected by a dementia. As society learns more about dementia the stigma associated with it decreases and living at home with a dementia is becoming more common.

Our restorative care approach means you are able to continue to live an independent and full life at home.

Restorative care enables your loved one to retain the ability to manage tasks safely and confidently knowing that support is at hand.  They can continue to be involved in meal preparation, personal cares, household tasks, grocery shopping and errands, retaining their role in the familiarity of their own home.

This approach means they continue to feel valued and retain their self-worth.

We ensure our Carers complete nationally certified dementia training to give them the knowledge and tools to practice restorative care, promote independence and ensure that your loved one will continue to live within their community while living with a dementia.

We work alongside you and your family as well as other organisations in the community such as Alzheimers NZ

Palliative  Care

We understand that this is a very difficult time for family and that time is valuable.

Our support allows family to spend precious time with loved ones while we take away those chores and tasks that are hard for family to provide under the circumstances.

We liaise with hospice and community health teams to ensure your loved one is being cared for the way you would like.  We provide respectful and gentle care for your loved one, provide care and support to you, your family, and friends and manage household duties, groceries and errands, so that you can spend quality time together.

Through this level of skilled support, you get to decide how your loved one is cared for in their remaining days.

We have trained alongside hospice staff to ensure we are able to manage care in the best and most appropriate manner to meet your needs.
